At Alley Cat Furniture our aim is to make solid, usable, lasting furniture. Solid timber is cut in many different configurations from a tree giving it unique characteristics and natural features such as varying colours, grain and textures.
All the timber we use in our furniture is pre seasoned and ready for a long hard life. Splits and cracks may develop as it responds to the environment and these are not to be considered a fault or flaw and will not compromise the construction of any furniture we make.
Do not leave spills to sit on surfaces. Avoid contact with heat, liquid, and take care when placing abrasive objects on the timber. Direct and reflective sunlight will affect all timber. This care guide will help you maintain your furniture in the best possible way.
Use a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Abrasive cleaning products and cloths are not recommended. If minor surface scratches appear, a coating of Carnauba Furniture Wax based polish will help blend them. Always read and follow the instructions on the tin.
Alleycat Furniture products are designed and made to last a lifetime. If an issue does arise, we’re here to help with extensive structural warranties on all products. We ensure the quality of our design and workmanship in our products will provide a lifetime of enjoyment when subject to their intended use.
A 5-year warranty covers the structural integrity of all our pieces. Environmental conditions can affect the performance and appearance of your furniture, causing changes such as shrinkage, expansion, bowing, splitting and colour change which cannot be warranted. As our finishes are subject to everyday wear and tear they cannot be warranted.
Terms + Conditions
Payment for furniture orders is split across 2 payments, a deposit of 50% by way of confirmation with the balance payable on prior to final dispatch. Deposit is non-refundable. All transactions are processed in Australian dollars. All prices displayed on our website are exclusive of freights. Balance due prior to release of the goods. Goods remain the property of Alleycat Furniture until full payment has been received
An order confirmation will be forwarded to you in acknowledgement of receipt of your order. This document supersedes all prior correspondence in relation to your order (verbal, written, graphic or otherwise). We will proceed with your order, as per your order confirmation, unless we receive written notification of any requested changes with 24 hours.
Once your order has been received and has progressed into production, our team will advise an estimated completion date by email. Please contact your sales consultant for current lead times, these can vary through the course of the year with peaks in demand.
Delivery times will be arranged with you once the final payment is received for the completed order. The freight charge covers a single delivery at ground level, easy access during normal weekday delivery hours. We do ask that someone is onsite to check and sign for all furniture deliveries. Our team will be in touch to book a delivery window and can confirm half an hour prior to arrival. If you are unable to accept delivery within 7 days of receiving notification of completion, the invoice must be paid in full and storage charges will apply. Alleycat Furniture does not offer pickups by clients or third party freight carriers on orders. Deliveries that cannot take place due to access limitations are the responsibility of the purchaser. In the event that delivery cannot take place, a suitable time for re-delivery will be arranged, in addition to the fee for the unsuccessful delivery, additional fees will apply for return to warehouse, storage and re-delivery. In the event that delivery is not possible due to access limitations, the goods will be taken to storage until the purchaser advises Alleycat Furniture of their intent for the goods.
